Job summary

Bridor, located in Vineland, New Jersey, is seeking a Packaging Lead to support safe and efficient bread packaging lines. You will coordinate start-ups, changeovers, and train staff while ensuring food safety, quality, and production goals.

You will monitor equipment, maintain packaging quality, and ensure materials are available to keep lines running. The role requires GMP/HACCP/BRC knowledge and 2–5 years of factory experience.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in a factory/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and BRC food safety standards.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Set up packaging equipment before start-up and coordinate line start-ups and product changeovers.
• Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain efficient operations and minimize waste.
• Follow food safety procedures and monitor CCPs.
• Report quality or safety concerns to QA and communicate deviations to supervisor.
• Monitor temperatures, packaging quality, and production output.
• Ensure packaging materials and supplies are available to keep lines running.
• Coordinate with supervisor to ensure staffing at start-up and production.
• Train new employees on assigned tasks.
• Report operational and mechanical problems to supervisor and maintenance.
• Follow shutdown and lockout procedures during stoppages.
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas and follow safety requirements.

Bridor is seeking aPackaging Lead to support the safe, efficient operation of our bread packaging lines. In this hands-on role, you will coordinate line start-ups and product changeovers, support employees, and help meet production goals while maintaining product quality and food safety standards.

What You’ll Do

Set up packaging equipment before start-up and coordinate line start-ups and product changeovers

Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain efficient operations, reduce downtime, and minimize product loss

Follow food safety procedures and ensure critical control points (CCPs) are monitored and controlled as required

Report food safety or product quality concerns to Quality Assurance and communicate deviations from standard procedures to the Production Supervisor

Monitor frozen product temperatures, packaging quality, and production output

Ensure packaging materials, components, crates, and other supplies are available to keep lines running

Calculate required crate quantities and complete daily production reports accurately

Coordinate with the supervisor to ensure adequate staffing at start-up and throughout production

Support the supervisor in training new employees on their assigned tasks

Report operational and mechanical problems to the supervisor and maintenance department

Follow equipment shutdown and lockout procedures during stoppages and servicing

Maintain clean, orderly work areas and follow all safety, health, environmental, and company requirements

Perform other duties related to the position

What You’ll Bring

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Two to five years of experience in a factory or manufacturing environment

Basic knowledge of bakery operations

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and BRC food safety standards

Basic knowledge of Excel and Minitab

Ability to read and understand written instructions in English

Attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks requiring accuracy and precision

Ability to communicate production issues and work effectively with production, quality, and maintenance teams

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Ability to move or transport loads weighing up to 35 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, cold temperatures, and flour

Availability to workday or night shifts, consisting ofthree 12-hour shifts; weekend availability may be required
