Job summary

The Simplot Company in Caldwell, Idaho hires a full-time Packaging Materials Handler to ensure efficient movement of supplies. Responsibilities include monitoring shipments, staging goods, accurate labeling, cycle counts, and operating forklift equipment with safety and GMP adherence.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least six months forklift experience. You will work 6:00am-6:00pm, with overtime as needed, and will use computers and spreadsheets to document shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months forklift operating experience minimum.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, load/unload trucks and high stack totes.

Responsibilities

• Monitors movement of supplies to and from the packaging area using a computer or handheld device.
• Stages fiber and other packaging goods and ensures accurate delivery per Bill of Lading.
• Labels inventory with barcodes and verifies lot codes.
• Performs cycle counts, reconciles inventory and audits data.
• Operates forklift and conducts daily inspections.
• Uses computer programs to document shift information and create spreadsheets.
• Maintains safety, GMPs, and food safety standards.
