Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day tactical leadership to hourly teammates to ensure daily production goals and KPI’s as well as quality standards are met within each work center.
  • Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards while fostering a culture of working safety, teamship, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for training new teammates on the processes used to perform in their jobs.
  • Ensure that teammates have the required resources to be successful at their work, remain focused and productive.
  • Act as the technical expert in the department while setting the example for safety, attendance, productivity, and attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Communicate with staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, operational requirements, and shift hand-offs where applicable.
  • Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to warehouse supervisors and/or managers.
  • Ensure inventories in area of responsibility are accurate.
  • Produce regular reports and statistics as required.
  • Participate and/or lead in continuous improvement events.
  • The teammate will also perform other duties, as assigned.

You will be based in Fletcher, NC location.

The shift will start at 6:00 am and end at 2 :30 pm depending on the production Schedule.

This role supports the production line and will follow production's needs. Act as the technical expert in the department while setting the example for safety, attendance, productivity, and attitude with a continuous improvement mindset. Ensure tasks are completed on time and redirect the work force as needed to help in other areas. Where possible, resolve any issues or problems which occur in the area. Where appropriate, elevate the issue to more senior leadership. Communicate with staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, operational requirements, and shift hand-offs where applicable. Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to warehouse supervisors and/or managers. Ensure inventories in area of responsibility are accurate. Do spot quality audits in area of responsibility. Help track the accountability of the department on all transactions. Produce regular reports and statistics as required. Participate and/or lead in continuous improvement events. The teammate will also perform other duties, as assigned.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift packages 35 lbs. or less on a consistent basis.
  • Should be able to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.
  • Should be able to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending.
  • Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet.
