Job summary

Electrolux Group in Springfield, TN is seeking a Backguards Utility-1st Shift to support the Assembly department, ensuring production meets quality, safety, and delivery standards.

This role starts early at 4:00am and ends around 1:30pm, dependent on the schedule, with responsibilities including assisting supervisors, maintaining EMS standards, and helping train associates.

Qualifications

• Must be “Assessed and Standard Maintained” (3/4 boxes filled) in 4 (four) jobs in current zone.
• Communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and in writing.
• Able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Provides support throughout the Assembly department in producing high quality products, on time, meeting customer expectations.
• Assists supervisor in training of associates and follow-up of quality issues; back fill for absenteeism; assist with changeovers.
• Support Assembly area zones ensuring production meets Electrolux safety, cost, quality and delivery standards.
• Maintain a proactive approach with problem solving to prevent accidents and quality issues.
• Follow and improve workstation job details standards for assigned area.
• Log non-essential items using Red Tag Log system.
• Maintain organized and efficient work environment using EMS Principles.
• Assist in Team Board assignments.

You will be based in our Springfield, TN location. This shift will start at 4:00am and end 1:30pm depending on the production Schedule. This role supports the production line and will follow productions needs.

Your main tasks

• Provides support throughout the Assembly department in producing the highest quality products, on time, that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Assists supervisor in training of associates and follow-up of quality related issues. Back fill for absenteeism. Assist C.A. with changeovers.
• Provide support throughout the Assembly department area zones ensuring production meets or exceeds Electrolux standards in safety, cost, quality and delivery.
• Maintain a proactive approach with problem solving to prevent accidents and quality issues.
• Follow and improve workstation job details standards for assigned area.
• Follow process to log non-essential items utilizing Red Tag Log system.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work environment utilizing the EMS Principles
• Assist in Team Board assignments

Qualifications

• Must be “Assessed and Standard Maintained” (3/4 boxes filled) in 4 (four) jobs in current zone
• Communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and in writing.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to work with insulation.
• Able to use air tools, hand tools necessary to perform position.
• Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Able to stand for the majority of the shift.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift packages 35 lbs. or less on a consistent basis
• Should be able to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.
• Should be able to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending
• Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet
