Job summary

UDRI is seeking a Packaging Facility Technician to support the AFPTEF at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role involves designing, testing, and fabricating long-life packaging and storage solutions for Air Force contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a technical certificate, several years of equipment maintenance experience, and strong collaboration and documentation skills to ensure compliant, high-quality packaging processes.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate from an accredited technical college, trade school, vocational school, or apprenticeship program in a relevant field.
• 3 years of work experience with equipment maintenance, repair, or similar
• Successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to follow instructions with the fabrication and assembly of packaging
• 1 year experience with quality assurance, maintenance record keeping, and related efforts
• Proven experience identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement
• Effective written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Attention to detail
• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen

The ideal candidate will support the Air Force Packaging Technology & Engineering Facility (AFPTEF) located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH with the design, testing, and fabrication of long-life packaging, support, and storage solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Technical certificate from an accredited technical college, trade school, vocational school, or apprenticeship program in a relevant field
• 3 years of work experience with equipment maintenance, repair, or similar
• Successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to follow instructions with the fabrication and assembly of packaging
