Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Fresno, CA seeks a General Manager to own the plant’s performance, safety, quality, cost and productivity, while expanding local and regional sales. You will lead a multi-plant division, build strong partnerships with Corporate Sales Managers, and drive initiatives across Sales, Logistics, Production, Safety and Quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Business or Engineering and 7+ years in packaging operations, with proven budget and financial management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred or comparable corrugated packaging experience.
• 7+ years of progressive management experience in packaging, with budget and financial oversight.
• 7+ years of Manufacturing/Operations experience with proven leadership.
• Strong track record in goal setting, team motivation and profitability improvement.
• Ability to manage capital, budgets, and analyze financial data.
• Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills; customer-focused mindset.
• Strong communication and adaptability to changing processes.

• Maintain plant profitability while meeting safety and quality standards.
