Job summary

Bell’s and New Belgium is seeking a production operator to run and maintain high-speed packaging lines on a Monday–Friday schedule, 7am–3pm, in Michigan.

The role requires starting hourly rate of $21 and involves start-up, operation, troubleshooting, QA activities, material handling, and adherence to SOPs. Ongoing safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-speed production equipment is desirable.
• Solid mechanical skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are needed for line data and reports.
• Ability to read reports, instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates, starts up, runs, and shuts down high-speed packaging lines.
• Troubleshoots equipment and makes adjustments as needed.
• Performs quality assurance activities such as sampling and testing.
• Loads/unloads materials and finished product, including forklift tasks.
• Keeps the work area clean and organized.
• Follows SOPs and checklists consistently.
• Trains new personnel and teammates when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

The position is responsible for operating and maintaining high-speed packaging lines.

This position is Monday-Friday with the working hours of 7am-3pm.

Essential Duties

• Conducts machine start-up, operation, and shutdown relevant to equipment area
• Conducts initial troubleshooting of equipment and production issues and makes appropriate adjustment as needed
• Engages in quality assurance activities (corrective action, sensory evaluation, sampling, testing, etc.)
• Loads/unloads material and finished product, including driving fork lifts
• Ensures clean work environment
• Adheres to SOG’s (Standard Operating Guidelines) and checklists
• Trains new personnel and other team members when needed
• Other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience/Skills

• Previous experience with high-speed production equipment desired
• Solid mechanical skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read reports, instructions, and procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. overhead and 44
• lbs. carried 10 feet.
• Ability to push/pull weights up to 76 lbs. across 100 feet, and maintain the grip strength required to carry objects including cases and empty kegs (31.5 lbs.).
• Must also show fine motor dexterity.
• Ability to demonstrate their ability to climb, stoop, crawl, twist, squat and reach overhead.
• The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking

Working Conditions: Production Areas

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell’s and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Hourly Rate: $21.00 per hour
