Job summary

The Visual Pak Companies in Waukegan, IL are seeking a Setup Technician for the 2nd shift to maintain machinery, troubleshoot during changeovers, and ensure high product quality. The role requires a technical degree or equivalent and 1–3 years of related experience, with familiarity in liquid filling equipment and basic computer skills.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 55 lbs, stand for an eight-hour shift, and work from a bilingual English/Spanish perspective.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent education required.
• 1–3 years of setup/change-over technician experience.
• Liquid filling machine experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills including Word & Excel.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Add, remove and adjust packaging machinery to run various sizes of product and liquid fill packaging cells.
• Troubleshoot machine and auxiliary equipment during setup/change-over and implement changes to ensure quality and minimize downtime.
• Organize change parts and maintain areas to facilitate rapid changeover protocols.
• Promote safety by following policies and setting a good example for others.
