Job summary

Legacy Supply Chain is seeking a Maintenance Associate to support our Greenfield, IN distribution center. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and changeovers on packaging equipment such as case erectors, labeling machines, and tape sealers to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn new equipment and procedures. The role offers a benefits package including a 401(k) plan with company match and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center experience preferred.
• Experience performing equipment changeovers and machine setup adjustments.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with automated packaging equipment.
• Ability to learn maintenance procedures for case erectors, labeling machines, tape sealers, and related equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond promptly to production needs.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on packaging equipment, including case erectors, labeling machines, tape sealers, and other automated packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and minimize downtime.
• Perform box and case size changeovers on automated equipment to support production.
• Respond to requests from operations teams for equipment adjustments or troubleshooting assistance.
• Collaborate with supervisors, operators, and team members to maintain workflow and productivity.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential failures and report findings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
