Job summary

Sweet Candy Company is seeking a packaging maintenance technician to join our Salt Lake City day shift. You will maintain, repair and improve packaging lines, primarily AMP Rose 42C Cut and Wrap machines, with occasional support on other equipment.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical repair and manual machining skills, experience with factory automation (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs) and good communication with operators and management. Some overtime and shift flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical repair and manual machining experience.
• Experience with factory automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and pneumatics.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical control circuits and wiring.
• Effective communication with operators, management and stakeholders.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and improve reliability of packaging equipment, primarily AMP Rose 42C.
• Troubleshoot conveyors, scales, baggers, cartoners and related packaging lines.
• Collaborate with operations and quality to ensure GMP and safety standards.
• Lead by example, adapt to overtime and shift flexibility as needed.
