Job summary

Brown-Forman Louisville is seeking a Packaging Engineering Manager to lead packaging development for iconic brands, driving launches, redesigns, cost optimization, and process improvements. You will partner with Brand, Design, Sourcing, Quality, Production, and suppliers to convert ideas into scalable packaging solutions.

The role blends technical leadership and people management, requiring experience across packaging materials, testing, and supplier audits, with in-office presence in Kentucky

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related field and 5+ years packaging materials or packaging engineering experience.
• 7+ years combined education and work experience in CPG packaging.
• Experience leading packaging projects from design to commercialization.
• Strong collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary packaging engineering contact for assigned brand platforms.
• Provide leadership and guidance to packaging teams and engineers.
• Lead packaging development from concept through commercialization, assessing feasibility, timelines, material requirements, and production capabilities.
• Collaborate with Design, Brand, Sourcing, Quality, Production, Finance, and other teams to ensure project success.
• Develop packaging structures and materials for new and existing products, including prototypes, specifications, testing, and production requirements.
• Coordinate supplier evaluation, audits, and performance monitoring; oversee testing and trials to ensure quality and performance.
