Job summary

Bosch Charleston is seeking a student intern to join the Logistics Packaging Design / Engineering (LOD) team at our Charleston, SC facility. You will apply academic knowledge to real-world production challenges affecting inbound/outbound packaged products.

You will contribute to material evaluation, line trials, and lean initiatives while collaborating with operations, maintenance, QC, and R&D teams. This internship provides hands-on experience in a high-tech manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Strong enthusiasm for working within a manufacturing environment and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CAD software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in troubleshooting packaging-related issues during production.
• Assist in evaluating new packaging materials and components for suitability and performance on existing equipment.
• Identify and propose practical solutions to reduce packaging material waste, scrap, and rework on the production floor.
