Job summary

Verista in Indianapolis seeks a Packaging Engineer to help design and qualify primary/secondary packaging and container-closure systems for drug products. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to advance projects from development through commercialization, focusing on packaging process development and distribution packaging.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering/science with pharma/medical device experience preferred.
• Ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Broad technical knowledge across packaging, device, and product development.
• Experience interacting with senior technical personnel and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes studies to develop packaging component specifications and testing methods.
• Leads design and qualification of container closure systems and secondary packaging.
• Supports implementation of new packaging technologies to meet milestones.
• Performs risk assessments on components, systems, suppliers, and processes.
• Interfaces with suppliers to assess component availability and fit for projects.
• Supports regulatory documentation and technical transfer activities.
• Maintains regulatory inspection readiness for the packaging area.
