Job summary

Verista is seeking a Packaging Engineer in Indianapolis to support product development in packaging components and container closures for parenteral and oral drug products. The role focuses on packaging process development, shipping packaging, and secondary packaging design, collaborating with stakeholders to drive project progression from clinical development through commercialization.

Requires a BS in Engineering or related field and 1–3 years of pharma/medical device experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes activities to support design, characterization, and qualification of packaging components and primary/secondary packaging.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to advance projects from clinical development to commercialization.
• Designs studies to develop packaging specifications and testing methods for containers, cartons, labels, and filling profiles.
• Assists in evaluating and implementing new packaging or filling technologies to meet milestones.
• Performs risk assessments on components, systems, suppliers, and processes.
• Contributes to shipping characterization studies for drug substances or products.
