Job summary

SaniSure in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead primary and secondary packaging development for new products and improvements. You will collaborate with Product Line Management, R&D, Operations, and Quality to ensure packaging protects product integrity and complies with GMP, GDP, and regulatory standards.

The role involves designing packaging concepts, selecting materials, validating tests (ISTA/ASTM), and supporting change control and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of hands-on packaging or labeling design in regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and regulatory testing standards (ISTA, ASTM).
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks) for packaging design.
• Experience with design verification, process validation, and risk management (DFMEA, PFMEA).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (including international).

Responsibilities

• Develop packaging requirements by analyzing VOC, complaints, and competitive benchmarks.
• Lead packaging design for new products and post-launch improvements.
• Coordinate verification testing per ISTA/ASTM and document results.
• Support deviation, CAPA, and change control related to packaging.
• Collaborate with QA, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to ensure GMP compliance.
