Job summary

3 Key Consulting is seeking a Packaging Engineer for a 1+ year contract in Thousand Oaks, CA. The role focuses on primary and secondary packaging design, materials selection, and lifecycle management within GMP environments.

You will collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Device Engineering teams to execute packaging validation and documentation. Responsibilities include evaluating packaging materials, writing specs, developing artwork templates, and supporting line trials.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of engineering/scientific experience.
• Strong knowledge of primary and secondary packaging systems and material science.
• Ability to work in teams and adapt to rapidly changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and evaluation leading to selection of packaging materials.
• Familiarity with Change Controls / Change Orders for GMP documentation.
• Write technical specifications, create engineering drawings, and develop artwork templates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Artwork, Manufacturing).
• Support line trials and packaging validation activities for new/changed packaging components.
