The Boston Beer Company is seeking a Packaging Engineer in Breinigsville, PA. You will lead packaging engineering for capital projects, coordinate with breweries, procurement, quality, and supply chain to improve packaging materials, systems, and operations.

Minimum qualifications include a Packaging Science/Engineering degree and 1–3 years in packaging development. The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science or Packaging Engineering.
• 1–3 years in packaging materials development and engineering.
• Knowledge of beverage packaging materials and formats.
• Familiarity with packaging testing methods and standard lab techniques.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging engineering work for capital projects: scope, budget, schedules, specs, installation, startup, and training.
• Support project managers on larger projects across teams and vendors.
• Maintain packaging material specifications and documentation.
• Coordinate material testing with labs and production breweries.
• Identify and commercialize new packaging materials and suppliers.
• Drive cost savings and supply continuity across manufacturing network.
• Support sustainability improvements and related reporting.
• Review packaging artwork and manage pack format information.
