Job summary

Duracell is seeking a Packaging Engineer to design and develop primary and secondary packaging for Lithium Coin and new products, collaborating with R&D, Engineering and material groups to optimize cost, lead times, and performance.

You will create technical packaging specifications, participate in testing, and support site packaging personnel while ensuring manufacturability across global segments; occasional domestic and international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Packaging engineering degree preferred and internship experience welcome.
• Familiarity with packaging validation standards (ISO/ASTM) desired.
• Proficiency in 3D design software and rapid prototyping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Material development, vendor development, and package structural development.
• Collaborate with R&D on product and packaging innovations and stability.
• Optimize packaging supply base for cost, lead time, quality, and regionalization.
• Ensure manufacturability with manufacturing teams and packaging sites.
• Develop, qualify, and prototyping new packages, equipment, and materials.
• Plan and perform packaging testing; maintain test data results.
• Prepare documentation for plants, vendors, and customers.
• Audit packaging trends and manage projects within critical paths.
