Job summary

PDI invites a Principal Packaging Engineer in the United States to lead enterprise packaging initiatives within FDA-regulated projects. You will own the technical roadmap, mentor junior engineers, and drive cross-functional collaboration to translate innovations into measurable impact.

A strong background in packaging standards (CCIT, ISO 11607, USP <1207>, USP <661>, etc.) and proven leadership in regulated environments is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product development and R&D packaging.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of FDA packaging standards (CCIT, ISO 11607, USP <1207>, USP <661>).
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategies and problem solving from concept to commercialization.
• Own the technical roadmap for packaging innovation and ensure alignment with priorities.
• Mentor, coach and guide junior engineers across projects.
• Represent the company at conferences, seminars and industry events.
• Keep stakeholders updated on regulatory trends and new technologies.
