Job summary

Real is seeking a Packaging Engineer II to support medical device manufacturing. The role focuses on developing and implementing packaging solutions, supporting new product launches, packaging improvements, and maintaining packaging documentation across sites.

Responsibilities include design of packaging systems, validation protocols per ISO 11607/ASTM, material qualifications, equipment qualification, and mentoring junior engineers while coordinating with manufacturing and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of packaging engineering experience (or advanced degree with 2+ years).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 11607, ASTM standards, packaging validation, sterilization processes, CAPA, root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, and project management.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement packaging systems and processes.
• Prepare packaging validation protocols and reports in compliance with ISO 11607 and ASTM standards.
• Perform packaging testing and material qualifications for packaging changes.
• Create and maintain packaging specifications and support artwork updates.
• Support packaging equipment selection and qualification activities.
• Design pallet configurations and packaging solutions for manufacturing operations.
• Provide technical support, training, and guidance to manufacturing teams.
• Track project timelines, prepare progress updates, and support cross-functional initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and support laboratory activities.
