Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field.
0–2 years of experience required; P2 (3+ years) is also acceptable.
Travel requirement: 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

Design and develop part containment package components and packaging systems to meet internal and external customer needs for growth, quality, and productivity.
Innovate packaging improvements for ship with accessories and finished goods to reduce damage across all shipment modes.
Develop test procedures for packaging to ensure safety, quality, and density.
Manage packaging relationships with outside suppliers and contractors, ensuring on-time and on-budget projects.
Provide packaging-related input to new product and manufacturing teams on logistics implications of design changes.
Analyze shipping variance data to implement packaging improvements for better protection of finished goods.
Identify opportunities for packaging cost reductions and support department-wide continuous improvements.
Communicate risks to schedules, costs, and quality to mitigate issues and implement solutions.
Seek and recommend suppliers for packaging to develop best methods.
