Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Developer for HDMA Regional Packaging Operations.

You will lead medium complexity packaging development, coordinate with suppliers and Honda plants, and ensure on-time implementation while considering cost, quality, and handling objectives. The role requires evaluating, testing, and implementing packaging designs, using 3D software for plan development, and guiding stakeholders through change points.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in engineering field or 6 years relevant ENG exp for non-Engineering degree.
• 0-6 years relevant ENG experience.
• Previous experience working in the automotive and/or manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Execute project management to develop new packaging and reduce complexity for cost targets.
• Gain stakeholder commitment on guidelines and requirements for packaging.
• Use 3D software to evaluate change points and build pack plans.
• Present technical rationale to gain buy-in for optimal pack design.
• Lead communications with stakeholders on packaging needs.
• Manage change point design documentation.
• Complete development forms and documentation.
• Lead tasks that support overall project and operations.
• Manage stakeholders to secure buy-in on packaging plan.
• Troubleshoot packaging design issues impacting mass production.
