Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America (HDMA) is seeking a Packaging Developer to lead the creation and management of returnable packaging for North America facilities. You will collaborate with many stakeholders to ensure on-time development and implement packaging solutions that meet constraints and quality targets.

The role focuses on developing custom packaging for automotive parts, evaluating designs, and minimizing risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in engineering field or 6 years relevant ENG exp for non-engineering degree.
• 0-6 years relevant ENG experience.
• Previous experience working in the automotive and/or manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Execute project management and strategies to develop new packaging based on change points.
• Lead in communication for feedback from stakeholders on operating needs for packaging.
• Troubleshot and correct design related packaging issues that impact mass production.
• Use 3D software to make strategic decisions evaluating change points to build pack plans.
