Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Design & Planning Engineer in Packaging Engineering to support Model-E, Ford Blue and Ford Pro Vehicle Operations new model programs. You will lead 3D CAD/PLM work, develop container concepts, and coordinate cross-functional teams to optimize packaging and material flow.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Packaging, strong communication skills, and the ability to forecast costs and present to upper management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Packaging or Supply Chain.
• Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams with aggressive timelines.

Responsibilities

• Identify, forecast, and optimize capital spending for new model programs based on limited inputs.
• Coordinate with Packaging Engineering Implementation teams and other departments for lowest cost solutions.
• Present cost drivers and opportunities to upper management.
