Job summary

Jazwares is seeking a Manager of Packaging Design to lead a dynamic team responsible for innovative packaging across boys' plush and plastic toy lines. You will balance structural design, aesthetics, and strategic leadership to ensure brand-accurate, cost-effective packaging.

Responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end packaging development, mentoring designers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams worldwide to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of packaging design experience in consumer products (CPG), with focus on toy packaging
• 2+ years of direct leadership experience coaching and mentoring creative talent
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and working knowledge of computer modeling software
• Deep understanding of global printing processes, materials, and prepress requirements
• Experience with licensed brands and licensor approval processes
• Strong project management, visual and verbal communication skills
• Strategic design decision-making under tight deadlines and marketplace awareness

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging design and development for toy lines with brand-accurate deliverables
• Mentor and guide a packaging design team through all stages of the employee life cycle
• Evaluate packaging designs for structural integrity, cost, manufacturability, and retail fit
• Collaborate with product design, marketing, and global manufacturing teams
• Oversee mock-ups, licensor submissions, and ensure Pantone and prepress readiness
• Ensure quality control and prep final production files (print proofs, color matching)
• Own complex packaging projects to maintain schedules and resolve bottlenecks
• Perform additional duties as assigned
