Qualifications

• We are looking for agile, curious, and collaborative students with drive for results and a willingness to learn.
• Passion for engineering and the consumer products industry.
• Majors include Packaging, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Quality, Data Science.
• This opportunity will be in the Franklin, Tennessee area.
• Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date.
• Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without visa sponsorship.
• Employment is contingent upon drug & background screening.
• Candidates must be willing to commute to the work site during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute packaging innovation projects under guidance of packaging associates.
• Perform packaging sustainability assignments to meet Mars sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including product development, project management, finance, marketing.
• Develop detailed packaging specifications.
• Initiate, coordinate and execute line trials at co-manufacturers to validate quality attributes and performance metrics.
• Coordinate the creation of high-quality prototypes to gauge consumer desirability and support collaboration.
