Job summary

Mars, Franklin, Tennessee, invites a Global Pet Nutrition Packaging Co-Op to join our R&D team on exciting packaging innovations. You will collaborate across global and regional teams, coordinate testing, and help develop concepts from idea to prototype.

You will gain exposure to industry-leading packaging workstreams, mentors, and Mars University resources, with housing/relocation options depending on eligibility and location.

Global Pet Nutrition Packaging Co-Op Experience

As a Global Pet Nutrition Packaging R&D Co-Op, you will be responsible for the below:

• Lead and execute global packaging innovation projects under the guidance of packaging associates.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute packaging testing to evaluate material performance, functionality, and feasibility for commercial applications.
• Collaborate with cross functional global and regional teams, as well as external suppliers, to develop technical solutions and support project delivery.
• Coordinate the creation of high-quality prototypes to gauge consumer desirability, influence stakeholders, and facilitate collaboration.
• Support the development and evaluation of innovative packaging concepts.
• Communicate project progress, technical findings, and key learnings through technical reports and presentations.
• Present project outcomes and recommendations to R&D leadership at the conclusion of the co-op.

What we’re looking for:

• We are looking for agile, curious, and collaborative students who have a drive for results, a desire to learn, and who can quickly build relationships.
• We are looking for students who are passionate about engineering and the consumer products industry.
• Desired majors include Packaging Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
• This opportunity will be in the Franklin, Tennessee area.
• Eligible candidates will be junior or seniors.
• Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening.
• Eligible candidates will be responsible for personal transportation to and from work site during duration of the internship program.
