Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a Packaging (Electrical Controls) Technician to operate, install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and dismantle packaging equipment across our manufacturing sites. You will work on packaging lines, perform preventive maintenance, and keep precise records while ensuring safe, efficient operation.

The role requires electrical expertise up to 480V, familiarity with PLCs and Fanuc controllers, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

Electrical experience up to 480V in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of electrical test equipment, electrical circuits and power supplies; gearboxes, motors, actuators, valves.
Previous experience as an Electrical Control Technician or Journeyman Electrician.
Experience in PLC troubleshooting, Fanuc robotic controllers, and/or hydraulic and pneumatic fields is preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred; Electrical Certification from an accredited school or university.

Responsibilities

Monitors equipment operations and makes adjustments and/or repairs on packaging equipment and related systems.
Installs and dismantles packaging and related equipment (baggers, case erectors, sealers, packers).
Performs preventative maintenance work.
Reports to Supervisor on equipment condition and recommends replacements when necessary.
Keeps required records and documentation; maintains clean work areas.
Performs other duties as assigned.
