Job summary

Unilever is seeking a Packaging Associate/Machine Operator in Independence, MO to operate filling lines and monitor pouch quality. You will run Bartelt and SN Jones equipment, perform quality checks, and make minor adjustments to meet packaging standards.

The role requires 2+ years in high-speed manufacturing, strong troubleshooting skills, English literacy, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Evening, night, and weekend shifts are included, with benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years recent and continuous employment in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be flexible to work off-shift, including 12-hour night/day shifts, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operates Bartelt, SN Jones machine(s) including peripheral fillers, (may operate two machines simultaneously) keeping watch for any malfunctions.
• Maintains quality and quantity of pouches as set by QA and packaging standards.
• Performs weight and quality checks every 15 minutes or hour to ensure ingredient fills meet standards.
• Checks ingredient and total pouch weights and adjusts controls as required to meet standards.
• Clears jams on machine as required.
• Performs mechanical adjustments on packaging lines.
• Loads packaging material onto machine from forward pick area.
• Uses computer to retrieve changeover information and settings.
• Reports machine malfunction to mechanic, electrician or supervisor.
• Updates Line KPI information and graphs as required.

A Shift: 7:00 am- 7:30 pm (Sun, Mon, Tues and every other Weds)

B Shift: 7:00 am- 7:30 pm (Thurs, Fri, Sat and every other Weds)

C Shift: 7:00 pm- 7:30 am (Sun, Mon, Tues and every other Weds)

D Shift: 7:00 pm- 7:30 am (Thurs, Fri, Sat and every other Weds)

Pay Rate – $25.48 with an additional $0.50 - $1.00 shift differential for the C/D shift assignments | Weekly pay periods

What You’ll Do
