Job summary

Feralloy Corporation is seeking a hands‑on, 2nd shift packaging associate in the United States. The role involves packaging finished material, operating cranes, and coordinating with crane operators to move material through packaging areas.

Responsibilities

• Package finished material according to customer specifications and codes.
• Move material using conveyors, cranes or other equipment and inspect packaging.
• Assist with blocking, wrapping and banding for secure packaging.
• Coordinate with crane operators to move material in/out of packaging areas.
• Maintain packaging line organization and keep areas clear of unnecessary items.
• Monitor packaged material to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Identify and report any quality defects or nonconforming material.
• Follow safety procedures when handling material and operating equipment.
• Complete assigned tasks while maintaining efficiency and production flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and store tools safely.

Job Function

• Package finished material according to customer specifications and package codes
• Safely move material to packaging areas using conveyors, cranes, or other equipment Inspect material for proper packaging requirements and visible quality issues before packaging
• Assist with blocking, wrapping, and banding of material to ensure secure and compliant packaging
• Use gantry crane and lifting equipment when required for packaging operations
• Coordinate with crane operators to move material in and out of packaging areas
• Maintain packaging line organization by keeping areas clear of unnecessary equipment and materials
• Monitor packaged material to ensure it meets customer and company quality standards
• Identify and report any quality defects or nonconforming material
• Follow all safety procedures when handling material and operating equipment
• Perform daily inspection of equipment as required and report unsafe conditionsComplete assigned tasks while maintaining efficiency and production flow
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing scrap, bands, boards, and waste
• Handle tools and equipment properly and store them safely after us
