Responsibilities

  • Package finished material according to customer specifications and package codes.
  • Safely move material to packaging areas using conveyors, cranes, or other equipment; inspect material for proper packaging requirements and visual quality issues before packaging.
  • Assist with blocking, wrapping, and banding of material to ensure secure and compliant packaging.
  • Use gantry crane and lifting equipment when required for packaging operations.
  • Coordinate with crane operators to move material in and out of packaging areas.
  • Maintain packaging line organization by keeping areas clear of unnecessary equipment and materials.
  • Monitor packaged material to ensure it meets customer and company quality standards.
  • Identify and report any quality defects or nonconforming material.
  • Follow all safety procedures when handling material and operating equipment.
  • Perform daily inspection of equipment and report unsafe conditions.
  • Complete assigned tasks while maintaining efficiency and production flow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing scrap, bands, boards, and waste.
  • Handle tools and equipment properly and store them safely after use.

Job Function
