What We Need

As a Packaging and Shipping Clerk, you will process various types of shippable material per customer demands. This individual will interact with carriers, customer service, and the manufacturing teams. You will need to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity around the shipping dock, adjacent product warehouses, and manufacturing operations. This position is located at our manufacturing plant at 2230 W. Florist Ave in Glendale, WI.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Manually pick, pack, and prepare products from stock warehouses for shipment as specified in customer orders and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
2. Use automated conveyor systems for picking and packing materials, interacting with equipment to keep workflow moving and avoid production slowdowns upstream.
3. Operate forklifts and manual or electric pallet jacks for material handling within the facility, including loading and unloading trucks.
4. Ensure complete and accurate shipping of all products and maintain the finished goods warehouse.
5. Support continuous improvement goals by participating in ad hoc committees and teams.
6. Assemble and label boxes, palletize and wrap products according to specifications.
7. Adhere to Brady’s attendance, safety, and other company policies.
8. Restock consumable items at the end of each shift and as needed.
9. Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of production areas.
10. Provide basic support within production areas and perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

1. Six months of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Consistent attendance.
3. Ability to work in a team environment and train others.
4. Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
5. Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for the entire shift.
6. Ability to bend, twist, crawl, climb, and reach to perform job duties.
7. Obtain forklift certification upon hire and previous forklift operation experience.
8. At least 5 years of manufacturing experience.
9. Experience using SAP.
10. High School Diploma or GED.
