Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Packaging associate for the 1st shift in Monroe, Wisconsin. The role offers $18.45 per hour and a hands-on experience in food packaging operations to contribute to safe, quality production.

The position requires physical work on-site, with opportunities for growth within a supportive team and adherence to GMP and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and squatting.
• Capable of frequently lifting up to 40 lbs. and working on knees or ladders for inspections and cleaning.
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and wearing PPE such as aprons, bump caps, chemical-resistant gloves, rubber boots, ear plugs, face shields, and safety glasses.
• Must be able to work on-site in a wet, sometimes cool and noisy environment.
• No prior experience required, but previous manufacturing or sanitation experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up packaging line machinery including tapers, cutters, labelers, and scales.
• Load machines, apply labels, and assist in bagging and scaling products.
• Box and palletize finished products according to safety and quality standards.
• Perform cutting tasks using small paring knives as needed.
• Conduct sanitation duties, including cleaning and chemical handling, in compliance with safety protocols.
• Report unsafe conditions or practices to plant management.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with the use of powered pallet lift trucks when applicable.
• Maintain personal hygiene standards and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
