Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Packaging associate for a food manufacturing site in Monroe, WI. The role offers hands-on experience in packaging operations with room to grow within a supportive team. Pay is $18.45 per hour on the 1st shift (5:00am-3:00pm) and on-site work.

Responsibilities include operating packaging line equipment, labeling, bagging, boxing, and palletizing products while adhering to GMP, safety procedures, and PPE requirements. No prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical tasks (standing, bending, walking) for full shifts.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and working on knees or ladders for inspections.
• No prior experience required; manufacturing or sanitation experience is helpful.

• Operate and set up packaging line machinery including tapers, cutters, labelers, and scales.
• Load machines, apply labels, and assist in bagging and scaling products.
• Box and palletize finished products according to safety and quality standards.
• Perform cutting tasks using small paring knives as needed.
• Conduct sanitation duties, including cleaning and chemical handling, in compliance with safety protocols.
• Report unsafe conditions or practices to plant management.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and wear required PPE.
• Assist with the use of powered pallet lift trucks when applicable.
• Maintain personal hygiene standards and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Packaging Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and squatting throughout shifts.
• Capable of frequently lifting up to 40 lbs. and working on knees or ladders for inspections and cleaning.
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and wearing PPE such as aprons, bump caps, chemical-resistant gloves, rubber boots, ear plugs, face shields, and safety glasses.
• Must be able to work on-site in a wet, sometimes cool and noisy environment.
• No prior experience required, but previous manufacturing or sanitation experience is helpful.
