Position Summary

As a Packager I, you will assemble and package products in a fast-paced production line environment, using automated and manual equipment, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Shift Hours

Monday - Thursday 7 pm - 5:30 am.

What You'll Do As a Packager I

• Operate various packing and filling stations according to quality and safety standards and production needs.
• Ensure cups, pouches, and packages are properly filled with materials.
• Seal cups, pouches, and/or boxes.
• Ensure proper weights per specifications.
• Place products in packaging and label boxes.
• Visually inspect finished products, including lids, seals, lot codes, expiration dates, etc.
• Maintain information to track lot numbers, rejected parts, and machine settings.
• Ensure safe operation at all times by wearing proper PPE, reporting safety concerns, and suggesting improvements.
• Identify the need for equipment maintenance and submit work requests.
• Reject non-conforming materials using proper procedures.
• Operate electric/manual pallet lift and restock materials as needed.
• Pay close attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
• Look for ways to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Adapt to changing priorities while focusing on safety, quality, and delivery.
• Promote teamwork to achieve goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in assembly, packaging, chemical, manufacturing, or similar environment.

Preferred:

• Material handling experience (e.g., forklift).

Other:

• Ability to read instructions, diagrams, and check sheets.
• Follow written procedures to meet specifications.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Be detail-oriented and able to identify items against specifications.
• Operate pallet lifts and restock materials.
