Job summary

Meridian Adhesives Group is seeking a dedicated Packager I.II.III to join the Production department. You will inspect and package finished products, assist with batch operations, and maintain a clean, safe work area in preparation for shipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Experience in a related field preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and package finished products for shipment or storage.
• Assist Batch Makers with pulling product and placing into containers.
• Maintain equipment with pre-, in-, and post-batch inspections and report issues.
• Ensure products are secured for shipping and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Cap hoses and fittings when not in use and manage storage of materials.

Job Title: Packager I.II.III Department: Production

Job Summary

This role is responsible for handling and inspecting finished products for defects and packing them into cases of various sizes for shipment or storage. Packagers will assist Batch Makers in pulling product from machines and properly placing them to the correct containers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned equipment by performing required pre-operational, in process and post batch inspections. Immediately report any possibilities of contamination, needed mechanical repair or safety issues to the Production Supervisor.
• Ensure packaged products are secured for shipping
• Check product for quality and discard damaged product
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, facility and equipment by following routine housekeeping standards.
• Cap or plug hose and plumbing fittings when not in use.
• Properly store all properly capped, covered or closed operating supplies such as raw materials, drums, totes, etc. in their designated locations before the end of the shift.
• Remove empty raw material containers, packages, bags, and sacks before the end of the shift.
• Equipment must be kept clean of raw material residue, chemicals and adhesive.
• Sweep and mop work areas as needed and at the end of each shift. Rinse mop heads and mop buckets and return to the proper storage area after each use.
• Return cleaning equipment to assigned area after each use.
• Other duties as assigned

Pay: This position has a salary range of $19.00- $20.00 per hour. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location

Bonus Pay: Meridian offers an incentive plan for 2025 focused on safety, quality, and financial metrics. Eligible employees have the opportunity to earn up to $1,520 a year, with earned payments distributed quarterly throughout the year.
