Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC is seeking a Packager to prepare processed material for storage or shipment in accordance with customer specifications. You will package, stack, band, wrap, and handle edges to ensure product integrity.

You’ll operate packaging line equipment, prepare skids, coordinate with material handlers, and maintain a clean packing area while supporting safe, on-site operations in Jurupa Valley, CA.

Qualifications

• Ability to routinely twist, bend, stoop, and squat.
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to repetitively reach and grasp.
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 75 pounds (up to 25 frequently, up to 75 occasionally).

Responsibilities

• Package material to meet customer specifications per customer information and packaging instructions.
• Operate turnstile, down layer and banding line equipment as needed.
• Prepare skids to customer specifications.
• Coordinate with material handlers, forklift and crane operators.
• Clean and maintain housekeeping of packaging area.
• Operate forklift and/or crane to transport materials.
