This position works closely with Assembly Leads, Assembly Supervisors, Engineering, Procurement, Shipment and Warehouse Personnel to ensure project quality meets customer and EFX standards. The individual will assist in developing and training other personnel regarding operations to contribute in developing an effective technical workforce. Must be able to leverage knowledge of manufacturing processes and understanding of packaged equipment as needed for the improvement of manufacturing processes, and creation of standard operating procedures. Focus will be on Quality Continuous Improvements, Company Goals, and Product Quality.
Responsibilities
- Verify overall assembled package quality meets customer and EFX standards by performing checks on high-risk operations while assembling rotating and gas processing equipment.
- Verify all assembly and post assembly work is complete and documented prior to shipment per project specifications, drawings, ITPs, JQRs, etc.
- Assist in creating work instructions and standardized operating procedures.
- Ensure punch lists, deficiency alert lists & backordered materials have been properly addressed by Assembly Supervisors, Shipping and Engineering Personnel.
- Perform final verification visual inspection walkdown of equipment ensuring all deficiencies have been properly addressed, all signoffs are in place and all documentation is complete.
Accountability
- Overseeing all relevant and critical procedures are followed and executed properly during product realization.
- Tracking and Informing Assembly personnel of deficiencies
- Train others on overall package quality standards and established procedures
Influence
- Subject matter expert for packaged equipment quality; supports assembly supervisors on technical questions and issues involving industry standards, and customer specifications
- Promote cross department communication through procedures
- Provide feedback to all parties to influence standard operating rhythms
- Provide input on Assembly related materials build items and quantities
- Provide suggestions on cost saving measures
Control
- Authority to stop work.
- Authority to stop shipment.
- Authority to stop progression to next phase.
- Authority to delay different work centers from starting.
Job Specifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma; 2-year degree or professional certificate preferred
- Understanding of packaging Process and Gas Compression units
- Thorough knowledge trade tools, working methods, materials part numbers
- Comprehensive knowledge of reading and interpreting P&ID’s, GA, and fabrication drawings
- Minimum 5-years’ experience as a packaged equipment specialist in the oil and gas industry
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving methodologies preferred
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Visio, Word, and Excel)
- Familiar with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and SAP
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Flexibility, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical training experience
