Package Machine Operator

Department: Packaging Operations

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Sterling, CO

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.50 / hour

Tasks description – Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Read and understand daily production schedules and material requirements.
2. Transport packaging materials to the production area.
3. Set up and operate packaging equipment according to order specifications.
4. Meet daily production requirements.
5. Perform quality control checks to ensure proper packaging, including seals and date codes.
6. Follow guidelines when changing product varieties, including filtering screens and foreign materials checks.
7. Complete and maintain documentation on products, materials, output, and downtime.
8. Troubleshoot minor packaging issues and adjust equipment accordingly.
9. Coordinate with management and maintenance for repairs.
10. Maintain safety standards and a clean work environment.
11. Follow GMP and SQF procedures, including documentation.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
