Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Warehouse Package Handler in Springfield, OH. This full-time role covers 1st and 2nd shifts at the distribution center, with base pay around $20.13 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium for 2nd shift. You will be part of a fast-moving team supporting order processing and delivery.

No prior experience required; we provide training. Expect to lift up to 100 pounds, work in cold and warm zones, and be paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Available to work holidays, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Prior warehouse experience is a plus, but not required.

Pay & Financial Perks

About the Role

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a Package Handler, you will handle physical, fast paced work that keeps our supply chain moving. No prior experience is required - our dedicated training team will teach you how to safely and efficiently get the job done!

What to Expect on the job

• You will be on your feet, moving, scanning and organizing packages for the duration of your shift.
• You will regularly lift up to 100 pounds.
• You will work in a fast-paced environment, including our multi-temperature zones handling both fresh and frozen products.

Does This Look Like You?

• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You are available to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed (our customers rely on us most during holidays!).
• You are comfortable working in extreme cold or hot conditions (we handle fresh, dry, and frozen products).
• You can read, write, and communicate effectively in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, and safety signs).
• You can successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Prior warehouse experience is a plus, but not required!
