Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a seasoned Senior Monitor Technician to analyze and interrogate pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders across cardiology practices. You will support telemonitoring by reviewing device data and maintaining the software application.

Responsibilities include reprogramming devices as ordered by physicians, conducting quarterly transtelephonic checks, and ensuring follow-up care and patient education.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and one or more years related experience and training.
• 1 year experience as a Senior Monitor technician.
• 1 year in electrophysiology field (preferred).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and interrogates pacemakers, ICDs and implantable loop recorders across the cardiology practices.
• Supports the telemonitoring program by reviewing the data and maintaining software application.
• Reprograms pacemakers as ordered by the physician.
• Conducts independent quarterly transtelephonic pacemaker checks.
• Maintains follow up appointments for pacemaker and ICD patients.
• Conducts family and patient education on care of pacemaker/ICD's.
• Performs EKGs as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
