Job summary

Midland Care Connection in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a Transportation Specialist to ensure our PACE participants reach appointments and Day Center activities safely and on time. You will drive buses, vans, or cars, assist participants in getting in and out of vehicles, and support transfers while maintaining a respectful, patient-centered environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, DOT readiness, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Valid Kansas or Missouri driver’s license
• Current automobile liability insurance
• Motor vehicle record that meets organizational and insurability standards
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to pass and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening
• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Physical ability to assist participants, including bending, lifting, and helping with wheelchair or ambulatory transfers

Responsibilities

• Operates buses, vans, or cars to transport Participants between homes, medical appointments, and the PACE Day Center
• Assists participants in and out of vehicles and buildings; helps with wheelchairs and transfers
• Maintains safety, cleanliness, and basic vehicle checks; communicates schedule changes or issues to care team
