Job summary

The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking a Golf Starter/Ranger to deliver friendly, prompt service to Members and Guests as they start play and move through the course. You will assist with tee operations, pace of play, and daily events, ensuring a smooth experience for all players.

Ideal candidates are physically capable, have a driver’s license, and can communicate clearly with team members and golfers throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Must be able to clearly communicate Member needs to other Team Members
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 70 lbs
• Ability to safely operate a golf cart and have a Driver’s License
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Record each group and individual that heads out on the golf course
• Welcome each golfer to the tee/golf course
• Ride the golf course regularly to monitor play
• Maintain pace of play on golf course
• Keep tee sheets, records, and cart area up to date
• Assist with daily golf events and playdays
• Communicate with groups of golfers on a regular basis
• Perform other duties as required
