Job summary

Pinehurst is seeking a Starter/Ranger to help manage orderly play for members and guests on our golf courses. The role requires standing for long periods, handling golf carts, and providing exceptional guest service throughout shifts.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least three months of related experience, with the ability to work in varying weather conditions and communicate course guidelines clearly.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED and a minimum of three months related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable regarding the general rules of the play of golf.
• Be able to stand for several hours consecutively.
• Be physically able to operate a golf cart and assist in getting in and out periodically for several hours daily.
• Be able to tolerate adverse weather conditions.
• Have good interpersonal skills.
• Direct players to starting tee and communicate daily course conditions and guidelines.
