Job summary

Cherry Blossom PACE seeks a Direct Care Aide in Alexandria, VA to provide compassionate personal care and ADL assistance to participants enrolled in our program. You will work under licensed nursing staff and follow each participant’s individualized plan of care, supporting safety and well-being.

Qualifications include VA Nurse Aide certification or approved training program with competency evaluation, CPR, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Nurse Aide by the Virginia Board of Nursing and listed in active status on the Virginia Nurse Aide Registry, OR
• Must have successfully completed a Virginia Board of Nursing-approved Personal Care Aide or Home Health Aide training program and meet the competency evaluation requirements.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience working with older adults or individuals with functional impairments, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Aide provides high-quality, compassionate personal care and assistance with ADLs to Cherry Blossom PACE participants.
• Services are provided per the individualized plan of care and under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, in compliance with Virginia regulations.
