Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Structural Heart Disease Program within the Heart & Vascular Service Line. The Advanced Practice Clinician will provide medical management and care coordination for patients with structural heart disease in inpatient and ambulatory settings.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team including interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, imaging specialists, and nurses to guide evaluation, procedures, and follow-up care, while

  • License or license eligible in the State of Delaware.
  • BLS & ACLS required; DEA & prescriptive authority required.
  • Prefer 2–3 years of acute care experience; cardiology/structural heart preferred.

Job description

ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join ourStructural Heart Disease Programwithin the Heart & Vascular Service Line.

The Advanced Practice Clinician in this role will provide comprehensive medical management and care coordination for patients with structural heart disease across both theinpatient and ambulatory settings. This position offers a unique opportunity to partner with a highly specialized multidisciplinary team, including interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, imaging specialists, and nurses, to guide patients through evaluation, advanced cardiac procedures, and ongoing follow-up care.

Responsibilities include the medical management of patients undergoing structural heart evaluation and intervention such as TAVR, Mitral TEER, tricuspid valve therapies, Left Atrial Appendage Occlusions and PFO/ASD closures. The APC will coordinate care across hospital, clinic, and procedural settings to ensure seamless transitions, while also engaging patients and families in education and shared decision-making. In addition to direct patient care, the APC will contribute to program growth, quality initiatives, and advancing the team's efforts to remain at the forefront of innovation in structural heart disease therapies

Work Schedule
  • Full time - 80 hours, Day Shift, Monday through Friday, no holidays, no weekends, no on-call.
  • Shift Start Time: Flexible shift times: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Office location is on site at ChristianaCare - Newark Campus
Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Physician Assistant program and board certification as a physician assistant.
  • License or license eligible in the State of Delaware
  • BLS & ACLS required
  • DEA & Prescriptive authority required
  • Prefer at least 2-3 years of experience working in an acute care setting; previous experience in cardiology and structural heart disease highly desired.

Annual Compensation Range $115,474.00 - $143,579.00This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
