Job summary

The University of South Carolina Floyd School of Medicine invites applications for the Principal Faculty/Clinical Assistant Professor position in the PA program. This is a full-time, 12-month, on-site faculty position.

Reporting to the Program Director and collaborating with the PA Program faculty, the successful candidate will contribute to the PA Program's academic, administrative, and accreditation-related functions.

Qualifications

• Terminal medical degree (PA/MD/DO).
• Current board certification and SC licensure eligibility.
• Clinical practice history and teaching commitment.
• Excellence in teaching and student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality didactic instruction and participate in curriculum development and assessment.
• Advise and mentor students and support program improvement per ARC-PA standards.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation, evaluation and accreditation activities.
• Engage in committee service, scholarly activity, interprofessional education, and student recruitment.
