The City University of New York’s School of Medicine in Harlem seeks a Didactic/Clinical Coordinator for the Physician Assistant Program. The role entails instructional duties, administrative coordination, and supervising the didactic year and clerkships to ensure high-quality PA education.

The position is full-time and located on campus in New York, NY. The candidate should bring a Master of Science in PA studies, at least five years of clinical experience including PA education, NCCPA

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience and PA education experience.
• Current NCCPA certification and active NY PA license.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing program and student evaluation processes to ensure quality of instruction.
• Review and revise student handbooks, policies, and required certifications for clinical clerkships.
• Evaluate students and instructors; develop assessment tools aligned with course objectives.
• Develop examinations and test-item analyses to measure learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
• Participate in admissions, curriculum development, and student evaluation activities.
• Support program accreditation processes and serve as a faculty advisor to PA students.
• Coordinate clinical sites, preceptors, and site evaluations; oversee rotations.

Skills

Minimum of five years of clinical exp

Experience in PA education

Current NCCPA board certification

Current New York State PA license

MS Office proficiency

Education
