Job summary

Herbruck's Poultry Ranch in Pennsylvania seeks a production associate to maintain product flow and ensure all outputs meet quality standards.

You will support the Grading/Breaking Department, perform HACCP checks hourly, and adhere to GMPs while assisting training and line setup. Forklift certification and flexibility to work weekends/holidays are required to help cover busy production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Willing to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
  • Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine, birds, or cattle.
  • Follow all HACCP and GMP rules.
  • SQF courses completed with no corrective actions.
  • Operate 3–6 positions on the processing floor and assist training.
  • Able to pass LMS observations/assessments.
  • Document 100 egg samples for QA review.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure GMPs are followed and set a positive example.
  • Assist in day-to-day operations of the Grading/Breaking Department.
  • Ensure production runs efficiently.
  • Proper running of the washroom and breaking room.
  • Fill tankers and maintain staffing levels across the day.
  • Work with USDA and QA teams as needed.
  • Assist with training of new members.
  • Set up washroom and lines for production runs.
  • Execute daily startup and end-of-day procedures.
  • Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
  • Conduct HACCP checks hourly and document results.
  • Prepare work area and equipment as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all members are following GMPs, set the proper example for members.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Grading/Breaking Department
  • Ensure production is running efficiently.
  • Proper running of the washroom
  • Proper running of the breaking room
  • Filling of tankers
  • Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained throughout the workday.
  • Work with the USDA
  • Assist with training of new members.
  • Setting up of washroom and lines
  • Responsible for daily startup/end of the day procedures.
  • Responsible for daily cleaning
  • Perform HACCP checks every hour and document them.
  • The ability to prepare work area and necessary equipment as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualification:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as assigned.

  • proficient operating in 3 to 6 positions offered within our location leads by example in all aspects of the job duties and on the processing floor, follows SOP and Training Material requirements and can assist new members and/or cross-training members (MF only currently)
  • Must be able to pass job required Observation and Assessment on LMS
  • Document 100 egg samples for internal/external in-line or offline (reviewed by QA)- Dependent on location.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete floors.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, climb and lift at least 25 pounds. continuously throughout the day and 50 pounds occasionally.
Safety:
  • Follow all company safety rules.
  • Proper PPE.
  • All safety courses complete.
  • Lock out tag out awareness/authorization.
  • Report any safety concerns to Manager.
  • Powered industrial truck certified as per assigned.
