Ovation Healthcare is seeking an Outpatient Registration professional to register patients for outpatient services, verify insurance, collect payments, and ensure accurate patient records. The role demands strong communication, attention to detail, and efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in patient registration or front desk operations, proficiency with EHR systems, and the ability to work with clinical and billing teams to resolve issues

• High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree is a plus.
• Experience in patient registration, medical billing, or front desk operations in a healthcare setting preferred.

SUMMARY

The Outpatient Registration role is responsible for registering patients for outpatient services, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and assist patients during the check-in and registration process.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and necessary authorizations.
• Explain hospital policies, billing procedures, and consent forms to patients.
• Process payments, and co-pays.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

• Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
• Assist with other administrative duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.

WORK EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree is a plus).
• Previous experience in patient registration, medical billing, or front desk operations in a healthcare setting preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Fast-paced hospital outpatient department.
• Requires extended periods of standing and/or sitting.
• Requires moderate pushing, pulling, bending, squatting or lifting 10-30 pounds.
• May require evening or weekend shifts based on hospital needs.

Benefits

Benefits The base compensation range for this position is: $30,800.00 - $46,200.00 Compensation ranges could be hourly or salary depending upon the exempt status of the posted position. Beginning compensation is determined based on objective factors such as location, qualifications, skills, certifications, and experience. Typically, a candidate is hired in the lower to midpoint of the range; the top end of the range is reserved for candidates with extensive specialized experience and mastery within the role. Compensation may increase over time based on performance, experience, and tenure. Compensation is only part of Ovation's total compensation package.
